The Vees Volunteer of the Month Award goes to.........

As part of our new recognition programme which includes Thank you post cards, ‘Golden Tickets’ to be redeemed from the bar or kitchen, and volunteer of the month, we have awarded our first Vees Volunteer of the Month award to Andy Robertson!

Andy for some time now has been coaching two age groups (coaching one age group can be taxing enough!), having coached Under 6’s and Under 7’s age groups for two years in a row! He has welcomed our new under 6’s to the club and created an environment where they feel welcomed, and enjoy their rugby - as he has done with girls that play in our mini age groups, encouraging them to play and enjoy Rugby too - nurturing the start of a female team at Vees by developing our younger age groups.

In addition to this Andy volunteered as a mental health first aider, under taking some additional training in his own time to be able to support any of our club community who maybe struggling.

Andy was nominated and unanimously voted for by the committee to be this months, and Vees first ever volunteer of the month and was presented with his award by Club Chairman Ian Graham, loudly cheered by his Under 6’s, Under 7’s, their parents and fellow coaches!
